Guerrilla History Newsletter Introduction
A new resource from the Guerrilla History family, with submissions by the hosts and former guests of the show!
Dear Guerrilla History listeners,
Over the year and a half of our existence, we have seen the show grow from simply an embryonic idea of a show focused on proletarian history from a radical left perspective to becoming a valuable resource for a growing number of people ranging from budding young leftists trying to educate themselves, to activist organizers openly in struggle against the repressive powers that be, to seasoned academics looking for radical viewpoints on topics of interest to them to sharpen their own analyses. We are incredibly grateful for all who listen to the show, and love nothing more than hearing that we have been of some use to you. The entire goal of the show is for political education purposes - by understanding the past, we can better analyze the present and better affect change as we look to the future. With this in mind, we have been trying to provide as much as we can in the way of resources free-of-charge (yes, you can help support the show on Patreon where you will get bonus content, but we are doing what we can to provide the most useful work to everyone for free), and this newsletter will be a way for us to further that goal.
Our plan for this newsletter (as of now!) is to be a weekly reading list with submissions from the Guerrilla History family - hosts as well as former guests. These submissions will range from materials to get a deeper understanding of our episodes, to pieces that those of us in the Guerrilla History family thought were interesting or useful in some way, to articles written by and/or audio/visual appearances made by our guests and hosts that we’d like to promote. We may also be supplementing this reading list with occasional other content, such as book/article reviews made by former guests of the show, or other things we haven’t even thought of yet! Like we said earlier, we are hoping for this newsletter to be as beneficial of a free resource as we can manage to make it.
On that note, we encourage you to let your comrades know about the newsletter, sign up for the email updates so you can get it right in your inbox every week, and give us feedback (feel free to tweet us, we always appreciate hearing from you!). The first actual newsletter is due to come out tomorrow, so stay tuned!
In solidarity,
Your comrades at Guerrilla History
